From Elizabeth age 75: Weight Loss 1 stone When I started seeing Sarah I was carrying an extra stone, my food portions were too big and I had got into some bad habits. The only exercise I was getting was walking round the golf course at a leisurely pace. I got into the discipline of walking with Sarah once a week on the flat and at a more active pace and I have kept it up since finishing with her which has really helped me to keep off the stone that I lost. Sarah gave me excellent hints and tips on my eating habits which have really helped me. She was so supportive and enthusiastic about my success and it's been a great incentive not to put it on again. When I was younger, I was always petite and slim and I could eat almost anything I wanted and I wouldn't gain an ounce. At the age of 15 at the same height I am now, I weighed just over 7 and a half stone. I never really had weight problems or self-esteem issues but as I got older, I slowly started putting on weight and when I moved to University, the weight started going up and up. The thing that never changed was my eating habits and obviously being at University, I started to drink more alcohol than when I was at school. I was getting more and more depressed about the way I looked but was always finding excuses not to start eating better or do some more exercise. Looking back, the thing I was scared of was that it would be too difficult and I would give up and go back to the same old habits.
For my 21st birthday, my mum bought me two sessions with Sarah for a weight loss consultation. Sarah was really empathetic and understood what I was feeling because she had been in the same position as me not too long ago. Sarah is a family friend and I remember the transformation that she went through losing her weight so seeing the amazing results she had makes me more motivated to achieve the same thing. The one thing that surprised me the most about my experience with Sarah is that it isn't as difficult as I thought it would be, it is just about making a balance and understanding more about what you put in to your body and how it affects your weight.
I have also found myself enjoying exercise again and I now actually want to get up and do some walking because I feel so satisfied when I do – more than I would if I had snacked away on crisps and junk food. In the first two weeks, I lost over half a stone and even after such a short time my friends and family started to notice the difference.
I'm not yet at the weight that I want to be but I feel so much more positive about losing weight and keeping it off. Even my relationship with food has changed, I don't find myself having junk food cravings as much any more. I would definitely recommend Sarah to someone who wants to lose weight and start living a healthier and more active life. The first steps are the most daunting but once you get started you realise that there was nothing to be scared of in the first place. Sarah – you are amazing!!

Sarah has helped my daughter to lose weight. My daughter has found it hard to motivate herself and Sarah has really helped to motivate and keep her in the frame of mind of losing weight. Even when my daughter has had a bad day or few days, she has continued to carry on in the right direction with a phone call from Sarah or a weigh in! Not only have you helped my daughter to trim up you have also taken a 'weight' off her mind as well!

I've really enjoyed my time with Sarah. In the past I've done running and absolutely hated it but this has been the perfect way to get fit and I've had fun doing it. I do other fitness sessions with another trainer as well but this is the only one I don't dread. I would recommend Sarah to anyone and have done so already. I will definitely be coming back for more.

Just a quick note to say I didn’t realise how far I had come with your fitness programme until last Friday when I walked home from work and forgot it was a steep hill. In the past I would certainly huff and puff! As someone who loves their food, it hasn’t always been easy to stick to the diet plan but even if I’ve had a ‘bad’ week you have never been judgemental and I am delighted to say the pounds are coming off even if not as quickly as I would like.
